JUICE and SMOOTHIE RECIPES
(Organic ingredients are preferred when available!
For smoothies always keep a supply of very ripe, peeled and frozen bananas in a zip-loc bag. and cold hemp milk + vanilla flavored.)
"Mtn. View V-8 Juice!"
1-1 1/2 lg. beefsteak tomatoes-
rough chopped
1 c distilled water-add more if needed later.
1/8 to 1/4 jalapeno pepper (opt.)-seeds & ribs removed
1 1/2 stalks celery
1/2 red bell pepper
1 medium carrot-peeled
1/2 cucumber-peeled or unpeeled
1 tsp. lemon juice-fresh
1 cup ice
Put all ingredients in Vitamix (or high- powered blender on high speed) until it reaches the consistency of the store bought juice. Add more water if needed! This juice isn't pasteurized so is chocked-full of living enzymes; it's enough to share!!!
"Veggie Smoothie"
This smoothie is an immune system booster!
6 Kale leaves (medium to large)
1 English Cucumber
5 Celery stalks
2 Granny Smith green apples-cored
1/2 lemon-peeled
1 small piece Ginger root
Put in Vitamix (or any high-powered
blender) on high speed until smooth.
