"10  Steps to Better Health!"
You can begin to transition from the SAD (Standard  American Diet)-get and stay on the road to better health by following these ten simple steps.
 
 
1.  Begin to reprogram your mind with knowledge about how the body really works.  Most health problems today are caused by nutrient deficiency, toxicity, stress or a combination.  Most of the SAD food basically starves your body of what it needs to function properly.  Remember, you are what you eat!
 
2.  Increase your intake of  LIVING foods.  Cooking destroys almost all of the life force in food (living enzymes) and denatures most of the nutrients needed for excellent health.  To get the life force into your body, eat  LIVING FOODS (i.e. fresh fruits and vegetables) in their raw (preferably organic) form.  Consume at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.  Consume more veggies than fruit for their broad range of nutrients and lower sugar levels.

3.  Start drinking live vegetable juices. Fresh, live, raw vegetable juices are loaded with the most abundant source of nutrients used by our bodies.  Most of the nutrients reach the cellular level of our bodies-the basic level at which we receive nutrition!  So drink your veggies!  You can extract your own with the use of juicing machines (from www.hacres.com or order BARLEYMAX from that website. BARLEYMAX & CARROTMAX now comes in delicious new flavors!)  [Avoid the juices on grocery store shelves!  Canned or processed juices are not recommended because they are pasteurized at high temperatures before sale and don't contain the live enzymes your body needs for proper nourishment.]

5.  Start some exercise and get some sunshine daily. It's easy, just start moving. Dust and remove the tossed clothing from your treadmill! The energy you spend exercising will give you more energy and help every system, organ, gland, muscle, and cell in your body function better! Look upon exercise as the way you earn your meals!!!
 
6.  Eat more fiber. In addition to exercise, you need to include fiber in your diet to help rid toxins from your body.  Fiber is found in all raw plant-based foods.  It's the intestinal broom for your colon. There is absolutely no fiber found in flesh-foods!

7.  Reduce or eliminate all animal products from your diet.  Yes, that includes all meat, dairy, and fish which contribute to most of the health problems in the world and especially here in the U.S. The conclusion of every health study conducted today is that people should eat more vegetables and fruit to be healthy!  You can get an abundant amount of proteins, vitamins, minerals, and many health-enhancing nutrients from plant sources.  Meat sourced foods are high in ACID, ANIMAL FAT and CHOLESTEROL which are devastating to the human cardiovascular system! The food pyramid which we learned in grade school was supported by the meat and dairy industries!!!

8.  Begin to eliminate processed foods. Processed food has chemicals added (preservatives); and has nutritional elements removed to improve color or texture.  Adding man-made ingredients and removal of nature-made nutritional components can contribute to all types of illness and disease.  Processed, pasteurized, and refined foods are referred to as FRANKEN-FOODS!!!
Example: Refined flour products have virtually no nutritional value due to removal of the grain's bran and wheat germ.  Most convenience and snack foods have HYDROGENATED OILS AND FATS added to improve taste and texture; and both contribute to the rise in obesity, diabetes, and other chronic disease rates in this country today.  Remove processed foods and start eating more of the naturally delicious fresh vegetables, fruits and juices instead.  You'll be amazed at how good and ENERGIZED you feel!
 
Note: If your great-grandmother wouldn't recognize it
     as food, neither will your body. . .don't eat it!

9.  Get adequate rest and resolve spiritual and emotional stress. The best sleep occurs before midnight, so try to retire to bed early and get a good 8 hours of restful sleep.  And focus on Godly thoughts of love, joy, peace, and faith (Phil. 4:6-9)  Negative thoughts trigger improper releases of stress hormones which exacerbate chronic illness and cause new ones.  Keep your body balanced, release your mind from harmful thoughts and replace them with Godly thoughts. 
 
Phil. 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice!"  A
POSITIVE ATTITUDE is healthy for mind and body.  The medical community affirms there is a body/soul connection.
